Paying homage and respect to my heritage and roots, this game is a way to show the representation and bring awareness of all that Guatemala has to offer. Each card is unique to the country and culture. The classic cards are reimagined with images such as the World renowned Guatemalan ruins, Tikal to the delicious Tamales Chapines!

Lotería is still wildly popular today across Mexico and Latinx communities, whether as a Spanish language teaching tool or for family game night.

Originating in Italy in the 15th century, Lotería first moved to Spain before reaching Mexico in 1769. The rules are similar to bingo in that players mark spots on a tabla, or board, with traditionally a raw bean and attempt to fill it before all other players. A shout of “¡lotería!” declares victory for one lucky player, ending the round.
